Kyrgyzstan expresses interest in transit of goods through Iranian ports

During the meeting of the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Iran with the Managing Director of the Ports and Maritime Organization, emphasis was placed on the development of strategic cooperation in the transportation and transit of goods from Iranian ports to this country.
In a bilateral meeting with Avazbek Abdurazakov, Ambassador of the Kyrgyzstan to Iran, Mohammad Rastad welcomed the development of bilateral cooperation in various fields, and stated: Ports and Maritime Organization is ready to use Iranian ports capacities for mutual benefit with Kyrgyzstan.
rastad considered the port capacities in the coastal strip of the south and north of Iran significant and added: “Due to the active presence of operators and appropriate equipment in the north and south of the country, it is possible to provide services with the highest quality and lowest cost to commodity owners. also, Discounts on transit goods are provided to encourage goods owners.”
Avazbek Abdurazakov, The Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Iran also stressed the country’s interest in the transit of goods through Iranian ports, saying that due to the closure of the border between China and Kyrgyzstan, the issue of transit of goods through Iran’s southern ports to the Sarakhs and Kyrgyzstan border is significant.
It was also decided to form a technical working group for further cooperation between the two countries of Iran and Kyrgyzstan with the aim of transit of goods through the southern ports of Iran.
